New Year, New Skin!
2018 is behind us and we are all going to make 2019 the best year, right?!?I look at the new year as a fresh start for everything. If I’m unhappy about something, I change it. If I want to create better habits to stick to, I work on it throughout the new year and track my progress. I’m not really one for making resolutions, I like to be proactive and just better my past self with every new year.
Product Review: e.l.f. Hydrogel Under Eye Masks
When I heard e.l.f. released new Hydrogel Under Eye Masks, I hopped in the car and drove straight to the store!Who wouldn't want to try an affordable hydrating gel mask that promises to plump, moisturize and soothe the under eyes for smoother looking skin?
How Much is Too Much To Spend on Skin Care?
I wish I could buy all the new skin care products that come out! I'm always reminding myself that I have a mortgage and bills to pay though, so I have to practice some self-discipline more often than I'd like. I'm sure most of us are in the same boat! I'll splurge every now and then, but I try to check out ingredients and reviews before taking the plunge on high dollar skin care.
2018: The Year of Masking
Every year we see new trends in skin care. Some stay and some fade away as the year comes to an end. This year we saw new launch after new launch and hundreds of new products hit the shelves. It's amazing to think about how many new products actually launched this year. There aren't enough days in the year to try to test each new product! 2018 has totally been the year of masking. Sheet masks, clay masks, multi-masking, masks in a tube, masks in a jar, 2-step masks, 3-step masks, masking on planes...I'm sure you get the point.

Product Review: L’Oreal Pure-Clay Mask
Clay masks are my favorite, so when I saw the L’Oreal Pure-Clay Mask on the shelf at Walmart, I had to give it a go. L'Oreal has five different clay masks that target different skin concerns. I opted for the Detox and Brighten with three pure clays and charcoal since my skin has been a bit congested lately.
Self Tanning Tips for the Winter!
I don’t know about you, but I don’t bother to keep up on my tan all winter. I’m typically bundled up or wearing pants and long sleeves, so it really doesn’t matter to me as much as it does in the summertime. I have to admit, I also get a bit lazier this time of year! It's something about the cold weather, hot tea, couch and Netflix. I know I can't be the only one! I’ve learned a few tricks to keep my winter fake tan lasting and since I don’t like to be as dark this time of year, I can totally get it to stretch a few more days and make it last longer.
Product Review: Toms All Natural Toothpaste

As the seasons change, so does our skin. I know mine gets extremely dry this time of year if I don’t take the proper steps to keep it moisturized. The weather change is to blame! Product Review: Jergen's Natural Glow Wet Skin Moisturizer
I was introduced to the Jergen's Natural Glow Wet Skin Moisturizer in Fair/Medium about a year or so ago and I will never go without it in my bathroom. It’s so easy to use and doesn’t streak at all. It doesn’t smell like other self tanners and I can apply and go instead of waiting a half hour before getting dressed. It’s really moisturizing too, which is a total win for me!
Top Picks for Oily, Acne Prone Skin
I consider myself super blessed to have never really struggled with acne, but I know quite a few people who have and had a bit of experience myself in high school. I use to get extremely bad hormonal breakouts around that time of the month and literally nothing worked for me. It was trial and error and unfortunately for me, it was 98% all error. It wasn’t until I got a routine down that I was able alleviate those pesky flare ups. I’m always trying to help others with their skin issues so I dug head first into researching some of the best and most affordable products available for those with oily and acne prone skin. Check out my top picks!
Do Quick Fix Pimple Spot Treatments Really Work?
We all get the occasional breakout, right?!? Or three hours? How do these things even work? I Slept with My Makeup On - Now What?
Yeah, you got me: I totally didn’t wash my face last night. It was just one of those nights - you know what I’m talking about right? I wish I could say this was the first and only time this happened, but I’m not here to spread lies like that.
What’s the Deal with Facial Rollers?
I have to admit, I was dubious when I first encountered Jade and Rose Quartz facial rollers. “How can rubbing rocks on my face possibly help me?” I thought, and with good reason. But after doing some research, I’m singing a bit of a different tune.
The 6 Indie-Brand Products You Should Check Out
Many times when people think about makeup, their mind often goes to larger luxury brands like Dior and Lancome or even some go-to drugstore staples like L’Oreal or Revlon. But as of late, there are tons of indie lines that have come out with great products that for one reason or another, just haven’t become quite mainstream, despite their permanent place in many bathroom cabinets.
Do Acne Stickers Actually Do Anything?
When I was a teenager, I tried pimple-patches, or acne stickers, to little effect. But they’ve come a long way since then, and I think they’re worth re-examining, particularly since they’ve taken off in Asia. Like so many other products that have been catapulted to recent fame, South Korea has produced some crowd favorites in the world of acne stickers. But not all acne stickers are created equal.
How to Get Rid of Acne Scars
Acne is bad enough, but acne scars can be even more frustrating. Even after the zits are gone, scars can stick around for years, reminding you of the long struggle you went through to clear your skin. Thankfully, there are steps you can take to reduce the appearance of acne scars, fading them away so they are almost invisible.
