What To Look For In Hair Supplements
A lot of us are trying to grow our hair out longer or trying to strengthen and thicken the hair we already have. A lot of that has to do with the hair products we have and how we treat our hair on a daily basis with heat styling and products, but there is a huge part that has to do with how much of certain vitamins and nutrients we have in our bodies as well. If you've been looking to start taking a hair supplement but have no idea what you should be looking for, I'm here to help break it down a little for you. I recently went to Walmart and took a few photos of the supplements they had that were targeted for hair (which is sometimes grouped into hair, skin and nails).
How to Wear Milk Maid Braids
Milk Maid braids are one of my favorite go to hairstyles when I have little to no time to do my hair or if my hair is getting dirty and I don't have time to wash it that day. You can do milk maid braids whether your hair is short or long but I have different tips for each hair length!
Product Review: FutureDerm Custom Skin Care Products!
FutureDerm was nice enough to provide me with a whole new skin care routine to test and try out. Since it's the new year, I figured why not! FutureDerm is helping to take the guesswork out of a proper skin care routine by customizing the products and labeling them with pretty self explanatory instructions. They literally label everything and give you really good instructions on when and how to use the products.
Three Great Foundations to Try in the New Year - light, medium, and medium-full coverage
I am making 2019 the year of great skin - won't you join me? Great skin definitely starts with skincare for me, but right now, I want to tell you about three of my staple foundations that get me through any kind of skin day.
How to Create an Easy Messy Bun
One of my favorite up do hairstyles for lazy days or days I just don't have the time to actually curl or straighten my hair is a messy bun. There are so many ways to achieve the perfect messy bun but this is just my favorite way! You can easily do a messy bun with long or short hair and it doesn't matter if your hair is layered or not, in fact sometimes layers make the messy look more messy and cute!
Product Review: Essie Gel Couture Nail Kit
When I chose to go to a salon for a manicure, I always opt for gel polish because I feel I'm getting the best value for my money: to me, my nails look more shiny, and I can go much longer without the polish chipping or my nails breaking. As much as I love how my nails look right after a gel manicure, though, I find that the removal process does a bit of damage to the strength of my nails. They appear more fragile, and, if I go any amount of time between gel manicures, one or a few nails inevitably break.
Beauty Resolutions for 2019!
I've never been much of a resolutions person. In my younger years I would say things like "I'm going to stop drinking soda" despite the fact that I never was a big soda drinker, or that I would quit chocolate - yeah, ok. Now, I'm more about little steps I can take to improve myself, instead of looking at resolutions as big challenges to overcome. Thinking about beauty and resolutions as one joint thing, skin and money come to mind.
New Year, New Skin!
2018 is behind us and we are all going to make 2019 the best year, right?!?I look at the new year as a fresh start for everything. If I’m unhappy about something, I change it. If I want to create better habits to stick to, I work on it throughout the new year and track my progress. I’m not really one for making resolutions, I like to be proactive and just better my past self with every new year.
Product Review: John Frieda Frizz Ease Leave-In Conditioner
If you're anything like me then you are constantly searching for hair products that keep your dehydrated locks moisturized and conditioned while at the same time decreasing your hairs frizz and making your hair overall more manageable on a daily basis.
The Best Haircut for Your Face Shape
If you've been debating cutting your hair recently but aren't sure what style you would like to do, an easy way to help you decide is finding out what your face shape is. Depending on the shape of your face, there are certain haircuts and styles that are very flattering for each face shape. If you are unsure what your face shape is an easy way to help determine it is to take a photo of yourself with all of your hair pulled back. After taking a photo, trace the outside of your face and see what shape it most closely resembles.
Self Care For The New Year
2018 is just about over and a new year is starting soon. As we sit back and reflect on the previous year, we should also think about what great things we are all going to do in the new year. Self care should be on everyone's list because "me time" is something we all need a little more of in our lives. Self care doesn't have to be expensive and you don't always have to leave the house. Self care is all about you, so do something just for you and no one else. It's not selfish, and it feels pretty good! Another thing about self-care is that it's different for everyone. What works for you might not be what works for me, but I'm always up to trying something new! Read on if you'd like to know my most favorite ways to unwind and treat myself to a little self-care.
Product Review: e.l.f. Hydrogel Under Eye Masks
When I heard e.l.f. released new Hydrogel Under Eye Masks, I hopped in the car and drove straight to the store!Who wouldn't want to try an affordable hydrating gel mask that promises to plump, moisturize and soothe the under eyes for smoother looking skin?
How Much is Too Much To Spend on Skin Care?
I wish I could buy all the new skin care products that come out! I'm always reminding myself that I have a mortgage and bills to pay though, so I have to practice some self-discipline more often than I'd like. I'm sure most of us are in the same boat! I'll splurge every now and then, but I try to check out ingredients and reviews before taking the plunge on high dollar skin care.
Holiday Party Hair Guide
Sometimes trying to decide how to do your hair for a holiday party can be overwhelming. If you're anything like me, then you want to style your hair in a way that is festive, fun and pretty but that doesn't require an exorbitant amount of extra time or skills that you may not have. I have two easy hairstyles you can achieve regardless of your hair type or length and will only take a few minutes each! They are also perfect whether you are dressing up or staying cozy for your get together's.
Stocking Stuffers for Your Hair!
If you're searching for the perfect gift for one of your girlfriends, sisters or mom and want to focus on hair products, look no further! I actually really love gifting hair products as stocking stuffers because there are so many little things all of us girls could use for our hair and they are relatively inexpensive to purchase. I always love gifting extra bobby pins as stocking stuffers because I feel like as girls we tend to always have them and lose them all of the time and can never have enough on hand! I love to use bobby pins to hold flyaway's when styling my hair in an up-do and I also really love using them to hold back hair from my face when wearing my hair down! You can even use them to keep hats on your head if you have issues with hats moving/sliding around while wearing them.
5 Things You Need To Add To Your Holiday Wishlist
One more gift guide for you guys! For this one, I really wanted to hone in on special treats that are definitely on the luxury side of things, but are all products that I use on an almost daily basis (so not just a pretty thing that will take up space on your shelf but won't ever get used).
Product Review: Burts Bee's Mistletoe Kiss Lipkit
If this isn't the cutest stocking stuffer of all time, then I don't know what is! This kit is perfect for any lip lover in your life, especially this time of year! All three products are so great at keeping lips feeling moisturized and looking super soft (and kissable ;)).
2018: The Year of Masking
Every year we see new trends in skin care. Some stay and some fade away as the year comes to an end. This year we saw new launch after new launch and hundreds of new products hit the shelves. It's amazing to think about how many new products actually launched this year. There aren't enough days in the year to try to test each new product! 2018 has totally been the year of masking. Sheet masks, clay masks, multi-masking, masks in a tube, masks in a jar, 2-step masks, 3-step masks, masking on planes...I'm sure you get the point.
Product Review: Milani Keep It Full Nourishing Lip Plumper
I have always been a gloss girl, always. In fact, lip gloss was my first foray into beauty - a Bobbi Brown gloss in Rose Sugar, a pretty, shimmering rosy-neutral shade I'll never forget. I still love gloss and continue to share my favorites on my page, but I find that some of my friends + followers are a bit hesitant to get into the gloss scene due the idea of anything sticky or gloopy. Enter: Milani Keep It Full Nourishing Lip Plumper!
Product Review: L' Oreal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Oil
As someone who struggles with dry hair on a regular basis, the winter time is definitely a time that I have to incorporate extra hydrating products to keep my hair hydrated and feeling soft! I love using this L'Oreal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Oil year round, but especially in the winter time when my hair is extra prone to dryness to help hydrate my hair and keep it soft.
How Often Should You Wash Your Hair
You may have heard many different answers on how often you should wash your hair, some people say everyday, others say once a week and many people say all kinds of things in between the two, but how often should you really wash your hair? The answer depends on you and your hair. In order to figure out how often you should be washing your hair, you need to determine your hair length, texture and thickness.
Get a Fresh Start Each Day!
I wear makeup on a daily basis. Are there days when I let my skin breath and go out SPF + moisturizer only? Of course. But, more often than not, I have on a full face because 1. I love the ritual of applying makeup, and 2. I love trying new products constantly. Wearing makeup so often can do a number on skin, though, if it's left on overnight, or, not removed entirely.
Product Review: L’Oreal Pure-Clay Mask
Clay masks are my favorite, so when I saw the L’Oreal Pure-Clay Mask on the shelf at Walmart, I had to give it a go. L'Oreal has five different clay masks that target different skin concerns. I opted for the Detox and Brighten with three pure clays and charcoal since my skin has been a bit congested lately.
Self Tanning Tips for the Winter!
I don’t know about you, but I don’t bother to keep up on my tan all winter. I’m typically bundled up or wearing pants and long sleeves, so it really doesn’t matter to me as much as it does in the summertime. I have to admit, I also get a bit lazier this time of year! It's something about the cold weather, hot tea, couch and Netflix. I know I can't be the only one! I’ve learned a few tricks to keep my winter fake tan lasting and since I don’t like to be as dark this time of year, I can totally get it to stretch a few more days and make it last longer.

Two Blush and Highlighter Duos to Glow All Fall
If you are familiar with me or my blog, you know how much I appreciate a serious glowing cheek. To me, nothing lights up or brightens a look quite like a really pretty blush and highlight duo. Even with minimal makeup elsewhere, this combination helps to achieve a fresh, healthy look.
Tips for Achieving the Perfect Perky Ponytail
A ponytail is one of my favorite go to hairstyles especially for days I have a lot to get done and I just want my hair out of my face for the day. I used to wonder how some people had the cutest, perkiest ponytails while mine seemed to be loose and droopy. While the thickness and length of your hair definitely play a in role in how perky your ponytail will naturally be, no matter how thick or long your hair is, you can achieve a perky ponytail with just a few simple tricks!
Pantene Pro-V Micellar Shampoo & Conditioner Review
I was so intrigued when I saw the Pantene Pro-V Micellar Water Shampoo and Conditioner at my local Walmart store. Micellar water has been a huge trend recently, especially when it comes to makeup removal and skincare products, but this is the first time I have even seen micellar water being used in hair care products. Since I am a huge micellar water fan, I couldn't wait to purchase these and get home to use them

Product Review: Revlon x Refinery29 Make Your Mark Lip Collection
If you asked me what my favorite drugstore lipstick was 5 years ago, I would have said Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick. If you ask me right now, my answer would, as you may have already guessed, be the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick!
How to Tame Your Baby Hairs
We all have baby hairs whether they're short or long, they can be frustrating to deal with especially when doing an up do hair style like a bun or ponytail. If you've had baby recently, then the "regrowth" phase that so many of us mamas face can be pretty upsetting. It makes your baby hairs worse than before and they can be unruly to deal with. Sometimes baby hairs can feel like the bane of my existence but I've learned to live with them and tips and tricks to tame them along the way! Because baby hairs are thinner and shorter than the rest of your hair, it can make them extremely difficult to style.
Tips to Make Your Hair Grow Faster
We've all been there, we muster up the courage to do that adorable bob cut we've been wanting only to find ourselves missing our long hair a week later! You all know I have long hair myself but it wasn't always this long. At first I was in love with it and how easy it was to style everyday, especially with a new baby to take care of, but I quickly started missing my longer hair. I decided instead of having regular cuts to maintain that length, I wanted to grow my hair back out. I've learned a thing or two about growing your hair back out over the past few years and wanted to share my tips and tricks with you all.
Product Review: Jergen's Natural Glow Wet Skin Moisturizer
I was introduced to the Jergen's Natural Glow Wet Skin Moisturizer in Fair/Medium about a year or so ago and I will never go without it in my bathroom. It’s so easy to use and doesn’t streak at all. It doesn’t smell like other self tanners and I can apply and go instead of waiting a half hour before getting dressed. It’s really moisturizing too, which is a total win for me!
Top Picks for Oily, Acne Prone Skin
I consider myself super blessed to have never really struggled with acne, but I know quite a few people who have and had a bit of experience myself in high school. I use to get extremely bad hormonal breakouts around that time of the month and literally nothing worked for me. It was trial and error and unfortunately for me, it was 98% all error. It wasn’t until I got a routine down that I was able alleviate those pesky flare ups. I’m always trying to help others with their skin issues so I dug head first into researching some of the best and most affordable products available for those with oily and acne prone skin. Check out my top picks!
5 Eyeshadow Tones Perfect for Fall
During summer months I opt for minimal makeup - especially when it comes to eyeshadow - because 1. It probably won’t last long on my face in the heat (even when priming, setting, and so forth), and 2. I’d rather spend more time outside than in my bathroom getting ready. When it starts to get cooler outside, however, I thoroughly enjoy cozying up with a dirty chai latte, and applying my makeup for the day.
Product Review: Garnier Fructis 1 Minute Hair Masks
When I was out shopping the other day, I came across these Garnier Fructis Nourishing Treat 1 Minute Hair Masks and had to give them a try! I picked up the Coconut Extract and Avocado Extract and right off the bat loved how amazing they smelled! Not only are they inexpensive but I love that they are so versatile too. You can use them as a hair mask, a conditioner or as a leave in treatment.
Dry Brushing to Increase Blood Circulation
I never thought twice about my bodies circulation or how to improve it until recently. Having good circulation is really important for your health. Your body needs to be able to deliver enough oxygen and nutrients to its vital organs in order to keep healthy. Dry brushing is an age-old beauty and health practice that dates back centuries. It has been used by almost all historical civilizations including the Native Americans, Japanese, Chinese, Ancient Indians, Russians, Turks and the Scandinavians, for various healing benefits.

Top Products to Help You Create the Perfect Cat Eye
The cat eye is a beauty staple, and has been for decades. It’s made quite the resurgence in recent years, despite the fact that it can be a notoriously difficult look to truly master. I don’t know about you, but trying to free-hand a winged liner look has often meant that I end up looking a little cross-eyed: my wings are on different angles, one is thicker than the other, longer than the other, and having to take the heavy makeup off to start over leaves my lids looking red and irritated. Fortunately, there is a myriad of products available to make the entire process a whole lot easier.
Product Review: L'Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara
Even on my most minimal makeup days I tend to wear mascara, a product that alone can draw attention to and open up the eyes. Over the years I have tried soo many formulas - both high and low end - but one I keep coming back to, one that I have repurchased at least 6 times now, is L'Oreal's Lash Paradise!

I Slept with My Makeup On - Now What?

The ones where it takes all your energy just to crawl beneath the comforter and the normal nighttime routine is simply too much to ask. I wish I could say this was the first and only time this happened, but I’m not here to spread lies like that.
What’s the Deal with Facial Rollers?
I have to admit, I was dubious when I first encountered Jade and Rose Quartz facial rollers. “How can rubbing rocks on my face possibly help me?” I thought, and with good reason. But after doing some research, I’m singing a bit of a different tune.
What I learned from the YouTube Beauty World
There’s a lot on the internet for beauty fans all over, but over the past few years, I have found the one niche that I can genuinely say has changed my life for the better- the YouTube beauty community. Oftentimes, when I tell people that, they laugh it off and assume that I’m wasting time online. But over time, I have grown to really trust some of my favorite ‘beauty gurus’ and have incorporated their advice into my daily life. Now, I have even found that my friends and family have started to come to me for suggestions as well. Watching YouTube videos has totally changed my makeup and skincare game. So here is a list of some of the lessons I’ve learned and advice that I can now offer to others.

But as of late, there are tons of indie lines that have come out with great products that for one reason or another, just haven’t become quite mainstream, despite their permanent place in many bathroom cabinets.
Here’s How to Protect Your Hair in the Summer
I don’t know about you, but summer is hard on my hair. Fortunately, natural hair is all the rage in the summer time, so let’s take a look at how to improve our hair’s natural health and beauty with these tips and tricks.
Do Acne Stickers Actually Do Anything?
When I was a teenager, I tried pimple-patches, or acne stickers, to little effect. But they’ve come a long way since then, and I think they’re worth re-examining, particularly since they’ve taken off in Asia. Like so many other products that have been catapulted to recent fame, South Korea has produced some crowd favorites in the world of acne stickers. But not all acne stickers are created equal.
